Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists to prepare work.

  • Assemble components and verify correct fit and connections.
  • Measure completed components to verify specifications.
  • Resolve assembly issues by adjusting dimensions and coordinating resources.

Job description

Skilled and dependable Assembler-Large Tools to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling large-scale tools and equipment according to engineering specifications, blueprints, and safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience working with heavy mechanical components, can operate power tools and machinery, and demonstrates strong attention to detail and quality.

This position plays a key role in ensuring our products are assembled accurately, efficiently, and safely to meet production deadlines and quality expectations.

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, industrial technology, or related field preferred.
  • Certification in industrial assembly, mechanical systems, or tool operation is an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • 1–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
  • Hands‑on experience assembling large tools, heavy equipment, or mechanical components preferred.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Familiarity with torque specifications, precision measurement tools, and quality control processes.
  • Experience operating power tools, pneumatic tools, and hand tools in a production setting.
  • Skills:
  • 2+ yrs. Warehouse experience- Inventory or Assembly.
  • Speak and Read English.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Personal attributes:
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures precisely.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy components and standing for extended periods.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy components and tools (up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance or lifting equipment).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods during the work shift.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks with consistent accuracy.
  • Sufficient vision (with or without corrective lenses) to read blueprints, technical drawings, and measurement markings.
  • Ability to safely operate lifting devices such as hoists, cranes, or forklifts (if certified).
