Job summary

RRD is seeking Assemblers/Kitters to finalize packaging for various products, including medical and food-grade components, in a 1st shift, climate-controlled setting in Town of Plover, Wisconsin. You will read work orders, follow procedures, and pack efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities include accurate counting, labeling, and coordinating with teammates; previous warehouse/kitting experience is preferred, with basic arithmetic and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identify correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
• Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
• Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
• Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Job Description

Assemblers/Kitters are responsible for the final packaging of products for RRD customers including but not limited to medical and food-grade components.

• Read and follow work order instructions
• Follow assembly processes and procedures precisely
• Achieve expected rate while assembling customer product accurately
• Fold boxes and package customer product efficiently
• Perform all functions of pack out accurately
• Count accurately, watch scales for variances, and scan properly
• Place labels precisely on product
• Watch for faulty, damaged, or nicked materials or packages to ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are being met
• Notify lead when assembly/component inventory supplies are low
• Communicate with co-workers in a positive, business-like manner
• Comply with all facility safety and work rules; including, but not limited to security requirements, completion of a job costing card (white card), and following proper procedures for accident/incident reporting, emergency evacuation, etc.
• Demonstrate a professional manner.
• Participate in required trainings and audits
• Other tasks as assigned.

This is a 1st shift position in a climate controlled, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
• Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
• Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
• Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Disclosure Statement:

Thepay range for this role at the noted location is $16.40 to $17.68 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
