Job summary

RRD is seeking an Assembly/Kitting associate to finalize packaging for medical and food-grade components at our Wisconsin facility. You will read work orders, follow assembly procedures, and ensure accurate packing while maintaining production pace.

Responsibilities include labeling, counting, inspecting for quality, stocking materials, and communicating effectively with teammates. We offer a climate-controlled, first-shift environment with opportunities for training and career growth at RRD.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications.
• Basic communication skills, written and/or verbal.
• Basic knowledge of packing procedures and warehouse operations.
• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items per instructions.
• Able to complete stock/labeling forms for incoming/outgoing materials.
• Skilled in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
• Basic arithmetic operations.

Job Description

Assemblers/Kitters are responsible for the final packaging of products for RRD customers including but not limited to medical and food-grade components.

• Read and follow work order instructions
• Follow assembly processes and procedures precisely

• Watch for faulty, damaged, or nicked materials or packages to ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are being met
• Notify lead when assembly/component inventory supplies are low
• Communicate with co-workers in a positive, business-like manner
• Comply with all facility safety and work rules; including, but not limited to security requirements, completion of a job costing card (white card), and following proper procedures for accident/incident reporting, emergency evacuation, etc.
• Demonstrate a professional manner.
• General housekeeping duties
• Participate in required trainings and audits
• Other tasks as assigned.

This is a 1st shift position in a climate controlled, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred
• Must have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
• Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
• Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.
• Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
• Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.40 to $17.68 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
