Job Description

We are seeking an Assembler III to join our Centerfire Assembly production team at our Lewiston, ID location. The role manufactures, inspects, and packages centerfire handgun ammunition with high quality, safety, and efficiency.

Shift Information

Ability to work any shift including Swing, Weekend Days, and Weekend Swing, 10- and 12-hour shifts. Overnight weekend shifts after training. Weekend shifts are scheduled for 34.5 hours per week (Friday–Sunday).

Responsibilities

• Learn and gain proficiency in various positions of the Assembly Operation (load lines, packaging lines, inspection) and rotate through each position as assigned.
• Work schedules as assigned by supervision; no minimum hour guarantee.
• Maintain good attendance per established standards.
• Follow work instructions to safely produce, assemble, inspect, and package high‑quality CCI/Speer products and components.
• Follow and improve manufacturing processes; document production records and statistics as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of on‑the‑job manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screen.
• Must not be prohibited from shipping, transporting, or possessing firearms or ammunition under the Gun Control Act or Safe Explosives Act; must not meet the definition of a prohibited person under 19 U.S.C. 922(g).
• Must successfully complete and pass a post‑employment ATF background check and receive a clearance letter.
• ITAR and EAR Requirements: applicant must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, and must be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
• Gun Control Act Requirements: applicant must not be a convicted felon, fugitive, controlled substance user, mental defective, illegal alien, discharged from armed forces dishonorably, renouncer of U.S. citizenship, subject to restraining order, or convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence.

Physical Requirements

• Continual lifting, gripping, turning, finger dexterity, and hand‑eye coordination to move plates weighing 10–30 lb, occasionally up to 50 lb.
• 10‑ or 12‑hour shifts, mostly standing, occasionally seated.
• Good vision with color discrimination; must wear protective eyewear.

Mental Requirements

• High attentiveness for safety and detection of problems.
• Reading and math comprehension to interpret quality data (SPC, charts, graphs) and complete production reporting.
• Interpersonal communication skills to problem‑solve and work effectively within a team.
• Flexibility to move between tasks and handle many simultaneous tasks.
