Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Keosauqua, IA is hiring an Assembler II – Sub Assembly Refrigeration for our Operations department. This onsite, first-shift role involves reading orders and blueprints, assembling refrigeration components, preparing coils, leak testing, nitrogen charging, and mounting pressure plates.

You will cut/bend/brase tubing, evacuate air, and charge systems while using dielectric testers and voltage meters. Strong teamwork, safety, and precise measuring are essential.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret job orders and bills of materials.
• Identify parts and their placement on the line with adequate precision.
• Read blueprints or schematics to determine component locations and sizes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-assembly refrigeration components as part of a team.
• Prepare coil(s), perform leak checks, fill with nitrogen, and mount pressure plates.
• Cut/bend/braze tubing to form refrigerant lines; read rulers and gauges.
• Remove air and charge system with specified refrigerant; pre-start equipment checks.
• Use hand/power tools, identify parts, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Recognize maintenance needs and participate in training and safety procedures.
