Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking an Assembler II (Large Pack) in Reno, NV to assist welders in the Cable Tray department. The role involves assembling and stacking/banding Cable Tray ladders, and handling materials up to 50 pounds during shifts.

Core hours are 2:30PM - 11PM. The position offers $22.73 per hour and eligibility for a variable incentive program, plus health and retirement benefits from day one.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform simple repetitive assembly of parts and components.
  • Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices.
  • Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
  • Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large part construction.
  • Support Lean initiatives including 5-S throughout shop floor and office areas.
  • Track and sustain visual management tools such as OEE boards and audits.
  • Participate in Kaizen improvements and events across the facility.

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler II (Large Pack). The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

CORE HOURS: 2:30PM - 11PM

What You’ll Do

The Assembler II position is primarily focused on assisting and setting up for Welders in the Cable Tray department. The Assembler II will assemble and stack/band Cable Tray ladders. The Assembler II will handle materials and parts up to 50-pounds frequently throughout the shift.

  • Perform simple repetitive assembly of parts and components
  • Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices
  • Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
  • Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large part construction
  • Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
    • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
    • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
    • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Position Criteria
  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
  • Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Handle materials that pertain to large part construction, weighing 50 pounds multiple times per day.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
  • Must be able to handle materials up to 50 pounds (with assistance).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with manufacturing fabrication.
  • Demonstrated welding ability / knowledge - A welding demonstration is preferred
  • Set-up and troubleshoot welding equipment.
  • Examine and measure workpieces for defects and to ensure conformance.
  • Ability to weld aluminum and steel.
  • Ability to read blueprints and shop orders. Responsible for safety, quality, production quotas, and all documentation associated with product movement and confirmations.
Additional Information
Physical Demands
  • Able to regularly lift 50 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
  • Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
  • Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
  • Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
