Qualifications

  • Reading and interpreting assembly instructions, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work orders.
  • Experience performing product testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and rework to quality standards.
  • Soldering both through-hole and surface-mount components.
  • Ability to identify and resolve production issues with sound judgment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical products per specifications and schedules.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced assembly operations including wiring, soldering, component installation, integration, and final product assembly.
  • Conduct testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and rework to meet quality requirements.
  • Interpret schematics, blueprints, BOMs, and production docs.
  • Identify issues and collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality staff to implement solutions.

Luminator is seeking to fill our full-time Production Assembler II role to join our growing and dynamic Production team in Plano, Texas, where you will be an integral part of the team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator.

The Production Assembler II is an experienced manufacturing professional who performs complex assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities while supporting production goals, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual demonstrates strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across production teams.

In this role, you will:
  • Assemble electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical products according to engineering specifications, work instructions, and production schedules.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced assembly operations including wiring, soldering, component installation, integration, and final product assembly.
  • Conduct product testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and rework activities to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Interpret schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and production documentation.
  • Identify production, quality, or process issues and collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel to implement effective solutions.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of work through inspections, testing, and documentation of results.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment in accordance with company policies and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and workflow processes.
  • Train and mentor less experienced assemblers on assembly techniques, quality standards, and best practices as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records, testing data, and material usage information.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Consistently meet production goals while maintaining high standards for workmanship and product reliability.
Position Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting assembly instructions, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work orders.
  • Experience performing product testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and rework in accordance with established quality standards.
  • Skilled in soldering both through-hole and surface-mount electronic components.
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve assembly or production issues using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and workplace safety standards.
  • Ability to accurately use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively share technical information with team members and support functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed work instructions while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
  • Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing production schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute effectively within a team environment.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role, including standing for extended periods, operating tools and equipment, and occasionally lifting or moving materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintains a high level of concentration and attention to detail while performing repetitive and non-routine production tasks.
  • Works effectively in a manufacturing environment with changing production priorities and deadlines.
  • Maintains dependable attendance to support team productivity and operational goals.
  • Comfortable working in a production setting with varying noise levels and following all required safety procedures and PPE guidelines.
