Job summary

A leading manufacturer in food retail is seeking an Assembler II in Madison, GA. In this role, you will work cooperatively in a production team, assembling high-quality glass doors and subcomponents while adhering to safety and quality standards. We are looking for candidates with a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of production assembly experience. Offers basic tools training and a collaborative work environment. Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of production assembly work.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and assemble high quality components.
  • Follow work orders and SOP’s to meet targets.
  • Maintain performance standards for assembly.
  • Keep work area and common areas clean and orderly by practicing 6S.
  • Performs minor adjustments or setups to equipment or machines under supervision.
  • Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gauges, tape measures, fixtures, calipers, or other equipment.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to lead person or supervisor.
  • Follow SOPs and instructions from lead and supervisors.
  • Cross-train team members and assist with production as needed.
  • Perform a variety of assembly or production duties with minimal supervision.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an Assembler II who will be responsible for working cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high quality Glass, Doors, Frames and Subcomponents. Must follow the work orders and SOP’s to meet daily safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets.

What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role
  • Responsible for the assembly or production of component parts into sub‑assemblies, assemblies, and completed units adhering to the assembly traveler/standard work instructions.
  • Jobs require the use of hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools.
  • Maintains acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
  • All assembly operators are required to maintain their work area and common areas within the area in a clean and orderly condition by practicing 6‑S as part of a plant‑wide program.
  • Performs minor adjustments or setups to equipment or machines under supervision.
  • Inspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to their lead person or department supervisor.
  • Must be able to follow SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) where provided as well as follow instructions from lead and supervisors.
  • Cross training of team members and processes and assist with production as needed.
  • Performs a variety of assembly or production duties with minimal supervision.
What are the basic qualifications?
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1‑2 years of production assembly work
