Job summary

Ergotron, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking an Assembler II to build electro-mechanical assemblies, using hand-powered tools and MES systems when required, on the first shift.

You will review work orders, ensure quality, label shipments, and collaborate with engineering and warehouse staff to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years experience for Assembler II.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Read work instructions.
  • Keep Daily Assembler production records.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
  • Support Lean initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.
  • Be on time and dependable to work First Shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro-mechanical devices using hand powered tools supported with or without MES System.
  • Review work order documentation for accuracy prior to assembly.
  • Package and label products for shipment.
  • Inspect all products prior to packaging to ensure conformance to quality standards.
  • Work with Engineer and/or Supervisor to resolve assembly issues.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Bill of Materials and Discreet Jobs (Work Orders).
  • Make process and product improvement suggestions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse to complete work orders and manage shortages.

Position Summary
  • Perform light-assembly and packaging of mechanical assemblies and kits.
Position Responsibilities: Assembler II
  • The ability to perform the position responsibilities of Assembler I.
  • Assembler II is cross-trained and performs complex assemblies.
  • Assemble electro-mechanical devices using hand powered tools supported with or without MES System.
  • Review work order documentation for accuracy prior to assembly.
  • Package and label products for shipment.
  • Keep work area clean and dispose of raw material packaging materials.
  • Work with Engineer and/or Supervisor to resolve assembly issues.
  • Inspect all products, prior to packaging, to insure conformance to quality standards.
  • Demonstrate complete knowledge of Bill of Materials and Discreet Jobs (Work Orders)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of processes and tool use.
  • Work with supervisor to complete build schedule.
  • Make process and product improvement suggestions.
  • Work with warehouse to ensure work orders are complete (shortages, manuals, primaries).

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to use hand, power, and pneumatic tools to produce mechanical assemblies.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.
  • Support “Lean” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.
  • Physical Stamina to support extended periods of standing.
