Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled mechanic/mechanical assembler to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair refrigerant compressors for commercial HVAC systems and their sub-assemblies.

The ideal mechanical assembler should possess manual dexterity, an eye for detail, and knowledge of mechanics. They must be familiar with the proper use and care of both precision measurement tools and assembly tools, and adhere to safety precautions and rules.

A qualified Assembler II should have prior experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in an industrial production environment, performing quality checks, testing, and troubleshooting. Experience with refrigerant compressor assembly or similar complex equipment is advantageous.

The goal is to ensure production operations that are safe, efficient, and produce high-quality products while optimizing procedures.

Additional Position - Electric Motor Component Part Preparation Technician:

This role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and experience in electric motor disassembly and assembly. Responsibilities include working with various equipment such as blasting booths, saws, ovens, hoists, and cranes. Flexibility and willingness to cross-train are essential.

The goal is to maintain effective, safe, and high-quality production operations.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Following all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) rules.
  • Participating in safety programs (e.g., BBS).
  • Being punctual and reliable.
  • Reading and understanding mechanical drawings and documentation.
  • Following proper procedures for assembly and inspection.
  • Maintaining tools and work areas.
  • Checking output for quality and defects.
  • Documenting measurements and operations.
  • Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
  • Communicating maintenance needs to prevent downtime.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in industrial manufacturing.
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
  • Problem-solving skills using technical documentation.
  • Experience with hand tools, power saws, blast equipment, and ovens (preferred).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes like media blasting (preferred).
  • Basic mechanical and measurement skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and documentation.
  • Basic math skills.
