Summary:

Assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal products, parts, and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assembles units, exhaust fans, house doors, damper hoods, and makes pan rings according to job orders.
• Smooths burred surfaces with files and grinders.
• Lay and attach metal or wood flooring and/or coverings.
• Applies primer, paint, and caulk as needed.
• Performs close-up requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to understand structural drawings.
• Understanding of 6S methodology.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to read/understand a tape measure.
• Ability to use a paintbrush and operate an air-assisted paint gun.
• Knowledge of different flooring types, metal types, and gauging.
• Ability to utilize pneumatic/hydraulic hand tools and operate a forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Physical Demands:

Requires standing, reaching, walking, handling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Basic Requirements:

High school diploma or GED, with 3-6 months related experience or training.

Work arrangement: Onsite.
