Summary:

The role involves assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products, parts, and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assemble units, exhaust fans, house doors, damper hoods, and make pan rings according to job orders.
2. Smooth burrs on surfaces using files and grinders.
3. Lay and attach metal or wood flooring and coverings.
4. Apply primer, paint, and caulk as needed.
5. Perform close-up requirements as specified.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

1. Understand structural drawings.
2. Knowledge of 6S methodology.
3. Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
4. Proficiency with basic hand tools and tape measures.
5. Ability to use a paintbrush and operate air-assisted paint guns.
6. Knowledge of flooring types and metal gauging.
7. Utilize pneumatic/hydraulic tools and operate a forklift.
8. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Physical Demands:

Regularly stand, reach, walk, handle objects, climb, and stoop. Occasionally talk or hear. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Basic Requirements:

High school diploma or GED, with 3-6 months of related experience or training.
