Summary:

This role involves assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products, parts, and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assemble units, exhaust fans, house doors, damper hoods, and make pan rings as per job orders.
2. Smooth burrs on surfaces using files and grinders.
3. Lay and attach metal or wood flooring and coverings.
4. Apply primer, paint, and caulk as necessary.
5. Complete close-up requirements.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to interpret structural drawings.
• Understanding of 6S principles.
• Basic math and reading/writing skills.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure.
• Proficiency in using a paintbrush and operating an air-assisted paint gun.
• Knowledge of different flooring types and metal gauging.
• Ability to utilize pneumatic/hydraulic hand tools and operate a forklift.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Physical Demands:

This position requires standing, reaching, walking, handling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Visual abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Basic Requirements:

High school diploma or GED, with 3-6 months of related experience or training.
