Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking an Assembler I in Rock Hill, SC to join a Safety-, Quality-, and Takt-time–driven team. You will assemble compressors, generators, pumps, and medical equipment under supervision, adhering to process instructions and Lean principles.

You will operate mechanical and electrical assemblies, comply with SHE procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement while delivering within takt time. On-site facility with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Knowledge of assembly and testing processes for air compressors, generators, pumps, or medical equipment is a plus.
• Experience operating tools, pneumatic and DC equipment, and alignment/assembly equipment.
• Respect and contribute to SHE procedures.
• Basic computer skills and systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Safety: follow safety guidelines, wear PPE, report risks and incidents.
• Quality Assurance: follow First Time Right with detailed work instructions and perform quality checks at every stage.
• Efficient Delivery: meet Takt time and support rework/repair as needed to maintain line performance.
• Cost Effectiveness: minimize scrap, suggest Kaizen improvements to reduce assembly time.
• General Responsibilities: maintain clean workstation and support Atlas Copco values.
