Job summary

Dexter Magnetic Technologies is seeking an Assembler I to magnetize, demagnetize, and assemble components with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, quality-driven shop in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will read blueprints, follow instructions, and support Lean initiatives while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of assembly experience, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of product assembly experience.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain magnetizing, demagnetizing, and marking equipment.
• Assemble intricate magnet components per blueprints and instructions.
• Train and assist other assemblers with equipment use and assembly techniques.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency.
• Record production data on work orders and keep records.
• Collaborate with teammates on complex projects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Adapt to changing product requirements and deadlines.
• Provide technical support on special projects.
