Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I in Oregon to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications.

The role requires setting up work areas, assembling parts, and using hand tools while maintaining clean, safe workspaces and accurate production records. This entry-level position supports safety and quality programs and may involve routine duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Assemble parts according to prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards.
• Operate hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stack completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and report any problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
