Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc in Oregon seeks an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure and maintain required parts and supplies for operations.

Responsibilities include setting up the work area, fitting parts, using hand tools, and maintaining clean, safe workspaces. You will also maintain production records, check material quality, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required, but 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products according to procedures and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
