Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Plant Equipment Operator in Manitowoc, WI to operate and maintain production equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to standard work and plant procedures.

You will set up Monoblok Assembly Cell equipment and perform various tasks including automated and manual bending, crimping, flare processing, and packing. Collaboration with P&IC, Engineering, and Quality is essential as we pursue continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior machine set-up experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant equipment per standard work and procedures.
• Set up and operate Monoblok Assembly Cell equipment including automated bending, manual bending, crimping, flare, and packing.
• Interact with Production and Inventory Control, Engineering, Quality, Cell Leader and other plant operations.
• Conduct and evaluate destructive testing and perform visual checks to ensure quality.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve machine and material problems.
• Make minor adjustments and repairs; troubleshoot equipment.
• Participate in department projects and continuous improvement efforts.
• Follow safety regulations and report unsafe conditions or practices.
• Participate in peer-based teams and Lean/5S initiatives.

Position Summary

Perform all duties necessary to the efficient operation of all equipment in the plant. Operate and maintain plant equipment in accordance with standard work and building procedures.

Responsibilities

1. Continue to keep current in skills through training, classes and on the job training
2. Must be capable of setting-up and operating Monoblok Assembly Cell equipment
   1. Automated Bending (804, 805, 806, 807, 808)
   2. Manual Bending (113, 313, 316, 317, 1220)
   3. Crimping (NC20, NC30, Rouselle, ATS)
   4. Flare Machine (Cell B)
   5. Packing
3. Able to interact with Production and Inventory Control (P&IC), Engineering, Quality, Cell Leader, Value Stream Team Leader and other plant operations at all times.
4. Must be capable of conducting and evaluating destructive testing along with visual checks so necessary adjustments to the set-up can be made to produce a quality part.
5. Be able to identify, analyze, and evaluate machine and material problems
6. Able to make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment and machines when necessary, including effectively trouble shooting equipment issues
7. Actively participate in department team projects and activities
8. Assist the department supervisor with continuous improvement efforts
9. Other duties may be assigned at a later time
10. Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.
11. Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
