Job summary

Dover Corporation is seeking an Assembler I in South Chesterfield, VA to join a production team responsible for manufacturing Glass, Doors, Frames and subcomponents.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of production assembly experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. You will work with leads to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an Assembler I who will be responsible for working cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high quality Glass, Doors, Frames and Subcomponents.

What you’ll be responsible for in this role

• Responsible for the assembly or production of component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies or completed units adhering to the assembly traveler/standard work instructions.
• Inspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
• Perform end of line product checks and/or repairs.
• Notifies / communicates with assemblers, leads, and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products are to specification.
• Assist assembly groups with problem solving.
• Makes recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first pass yield.

What are the basic qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1-2 years of production assembly work.
