Job summary

Dover Corporation in South Chesterfield, VA is seeking an Assembler I to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble components into subassemblies following standard work instructions and inspect parts for quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of production assembly experience. You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods while contributing to first-pass yield improvements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble components into subassemblies following assembly traveler/standard work instructions.
• Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection tools and measurement devices.
• Perform end-of-line product checks and/or repairs.
• Notify assemblers, leads, and supervisors of changes to ensure products meet specifications.
• Assist assembly groups with problem solving.
• Suggest in-line and subsequent checks to increase first pass yield.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the assembly or production of component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies or completed units adhering to the assembly traveler/standard work instructions.
• Inspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
• Perform end of line product checks and/or repairs.
• Notifies / communicates with assemblers, leads, and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products are to specification.
• Assist assembly groups with problem solving.
• Makes recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first pass yield.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1–2 years of production assembly work.
