Job summary

Dover Corporation is seeking an Assembler I for the 2nd shift who will work cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture high-quality glass, doors, and frames. Responsibilities include assembling component parts, inspecting completed units, and communicating with team members to ensure quality standards are met.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of assembly experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401k retirement plan, and paid holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts using visual inspection, gages, and other equipment.
• Perform end of line product checks and repairs.

• Assist assembly groups with problem-solving.
• Make recommendations for increasing first pass yield.

What we're looking for: We are looking for an Assembler I who will be responsible for working cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high quality Glass, Doors, Frames and Subcomponents.

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

• Responsible for the assembly or production of component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies or completed units adhering to the assembly traveler/standard work instructions.
• Inspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
• Perform end of line product checks and/or repairs.
• Notify / communicate with assemblers, leads, and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products are to specification.
• Assist assembly groups with problem solving.
• Makes recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first pass yield.

Basic qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1–2 years of production assembly work.
