Job summary

UFP Industries seeks an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble the finished product per customer specifications. You will secure and maintain correct parts and supplies required for daily operations, following quality standards and safety rules.

Responsibilities include setting up the work area, reading instructions, using hand tools, recording production data, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace while contributing to safety and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED not required but preferred
• 6 months manufacturing/assembling experience preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards
• Operates hand tools to complete assembly
• Stacks products and may label/band components
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized and equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Maintains production records
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs/meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned
