Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure and prepare the required parts and supplies for operation.

Key duties include setting up the work area, fitting parts, operating hand tools, stacking and labeling finished products, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace with accurate production records. Applicants should be 18+, with a high school diploma/GED preferred; 6 months of

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Fit parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
• Operate hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stack completed products in accordance with procedures and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean and organized, and equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and report problems.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Follow safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
