Job summary

American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) is seeking an Assembler I to join our ambulance manufacturing team in Kentucky. You will install and mount interior/exterior components, read blueprints, and assemble parts at dedicated stations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Drug and background screening is required.

Qualifications

  • Preferred 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements.
  • Ability to use common hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
  • Successful completion of drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Installing and mounting nonelectrical and electrical interior/exterior components and hardware.
  • Assemble fabricated parts, components, or other units at stations.
  • Reading blueprint and engineering specifications.
  • Ensure safety requirements and manufacturing quality are met.
  • Clean and inspect the product for quality standards.
