Job summary

American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) is hiring an Assembler I to join our production team assembling ambulances and related components. This role involves reading blueprints, mounting interior and exterior hardware, and working closely with teammates to meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include leading daily tasks, coordinating with work cells, and assisting with graphics design and dealer/customer interactions as needed.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprint and engineering specifications.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements.
• Proficiency with common hand tools and power tools (drills, caulk guns, screw guns).
• Team-oriented with effective communication and adherence to directions.

Responsibilities

• Install and mount interior and exterior components and hardware.
• Assemble fabricated parts at work stations.
• Read blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Ensure safety and manufacturing quality standards.
• Inspect the product for quality against specifications.
• Lead and assist personnel in daily production tasks.
• Communicate tasks and instructions to work cell personnel.
• Meet safety standards for the department.
• Become familiar with all processes of the assigned department.
• Oversee parts ordering and lead machine operators.
• Coordinate interdepartmental communication to ensure timely delivery.
