Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking an Assembler I to perform sub-assembly and assembly tasks with basic complexity. You will prepare work from instructions, position parts, and assemble components while ensuring proper fit and quality before passing to the next operation.

Training will cover safety, tools, and documentation. You will also assist in prototyping and other basic assembly projects, maintain a clean workspace, and document actions on production and quality forms, contributing to a team-focused

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 0–1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
  • Able to read drawings and Bills of Materials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
  • Assemble components and inspect connections for proper fit.

Assembler I

In this job you will perform a variety of sub assembly andor assembly operations of basic complexity As an Assembler I you will Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions blueprint specifications and parts lists; gathering parts subassemblies tools and materialsPosition parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurementsAssemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassembliesAssist in the building of prototypes andor other basic assembly projects outside of normal production as neededMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulationsConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsContribute to team effort by training others in performance of basic assembly tasks as neededInspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operationDocument actions by completing production and quality forms

Requirements
  • Has a High School diploma GED or combination of work experience and skill development
  • Ideally has 0 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Is able to safely use small hand and power tools
  • Is able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material
  • Has basic computer skills
  • Is able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English
