Job summary

Stryker Group in Portage, MI is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Assembler to assemble components, prepare parts, and follow work instructions to meet quality and cycle-time requirements.

This position requires a High School diploma or GED and prior manufacturing experience. You will lift 10–50 lbs regularly, use manual and pneumatic tools, and work with limited supervision. OT on weekends is expected. OT on weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components including sub-assemblies, manual and electrical parts to support product completion.
• Prepare and process electrical and mechanical components for assigned product lines.
• Follow work instructions and test procedures, recording documentation to meet quality requirements.
• Meet production build rates, schedules and cycle times.
• Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other devices as required.
• Use tools such as manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses and measuring devices.
• Set up, prep, clean up and ensure quality of own work and work area.
• Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
• Lift/carry 10-50 lbs frequently; may rarely lift 50-75 lbs.

Schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday- Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, OT 2 Saturdays per month

What you will do:

• Under general supervision, assembles components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components and electrical components and all other related components to contribute to completion of a variety of products

• Prepare and process electrical and mechanical components for assigned product lines

• Work from process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks along with monitoring and recording related documentation to meet quality requirements

• Follow production build rates, schedules and meet required cycle times

• Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required

• Uses a variety of tools that may include, but is not limited to: manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring and cutting devices

• Responsible for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work‑area

• Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends

• Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis depending on product line, may rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs.
