Job summary

Stryker Group in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking an assembler to contribute to finishing a range of products. You will follow process work instructions, operate various hand tools and equipment, and document quality checks to meet specifications.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED; manufacturing experience is preferred. The role supports a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime possible and a $2 shift differential in addition to base pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Assemble components including sub-assemblies and electrical parts to contribute to product completion.
• Follow process work instructions and test procedures; document quality-related activities.
• Meet build rates and schedule targets; ensure on-time completion.

Job description

Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:15pm-10:45pm; OT scheduled based on production needs.

What you will do:

• Assemble components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components and electrical components and all other related components to contribute to completion of a variety of products.
• Work from process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks along with monitoring and recording related documentation to meet quality requirements.
• Follow production build rates, schedules and meet required cycle times
• Assemble cartons and containers and prepare products for shipment in accordance with domestic, international and/or customer specifications.
• Use a variety of tools that may include but are not limited to manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring and cutting devices.
• Set-up, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work-area.
• Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
• Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/ or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
