Eaton is seeking an Assembler I - 1st Shift at the Raleigh, NC facility. Core hours 6:00am-2:30pm, pay $18.50 per hour. The role builds UPS sub-assemblies following SOPs with emphasis on quality and safety. This on-site position at Spring Forest Rd requires lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED and are legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Veterans and military families are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build sub-assemblies and assemblies using standard operating procedures.
• Perform visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
• Use fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure Raleigh Plant quality standards are met.
• Calibrate machines and tools and perform housekeeping per 5S+ principles.
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.
• Provide process and safety improvement ideas.

Eaton’s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking an Assembler I - 1st Shift - RPO at our Spring Forest Rd location in Raleigh, NC. Core Hours are 6:00am-2:30pm. The pay rate for this position is $18.50 per hour.

What You’ll Do

The Assembler I will build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS).

In This Role

• You will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to
• Build sub-assemblies and assemblies using standard operating procedures.
• You will be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
• You will use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
• You will inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh Plant Quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
• You will adhere environmental, health, safety rules and regulations.
• You will provide process and safety improvement ideas.
• You will ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.

Minimum Education Required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with standard operating procedures
• Previous experience with electrical product assembly, maintenance and/or repair
• Soldering experience
• Basic working knowledge and experience with computers

Skills - Position Criteria

• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish colored wiring
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
