Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Assembler I - 1st Shift at the Capital Blvd site in Raleigh, NC. The role builds sub-assemblies and assemblies with wiring for UPS battery cabinets, following SOPs and ensuring quality per Raleigh standards.

Candidates must have 1 year manufacturing experience and a High School Diploma or GED, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Benefits include health, vacation, holidays, and opportunities for overtime and career progression.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance is not provided; candidates within 50 miles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build sub-assemblies and assemblies with complex and repetitive wiring for UPS battery cabinets.
• Follow SOPs to construct sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
• Perform visual inspections of materials before and after assembly.
• Use fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust or repair products.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure Raleigh Plant Quality standards and adjust as needed.
• Adhere to environmental, health and safety rules and regulations.
• Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
• Ensure machines and tools are calibrated and keep work area clean per 5S+.

Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:• Previous experience with standard operating procedures• Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair• Previous experience using forklifts or material handling equipmentAdditional Criteria:• Basic working knowledge and experience with computers• Basic working knowledge of SAP• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.• Ability to use power industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc)• Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.• Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.• Ability to distinguish colored wiring• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
