Position Overview:

As an Assembler I, you will play a hands‑on role in the final assembly of our locomotives, working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment to install, fit, and assemble critical components. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high‑quality, world‑class locomotives that power rail transportation across North America.

What your day may look like:
  • Assemble and install electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and structural components on locomotives and rail vehicles to ensure safe, reliable, and high‑quality performance.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, work instructions, and production documentation to accurately complete complex assembly tasks.
  • Perform wire routing, cutting, termination, connection, and harness installation while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot, modify, rework, and repair assemblies and components to resolve issues and support continuous production excellence.
  • Collaborate with a skilled manufacturing team to build world‑class locomotives, utilizing specialized tools, equipment, and assembly techniques in a fast‑paced production environment.

To thrive in this role, you have:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing, assembly, automotive, construction, electrical, mechanical, or related industrial environments.
  • Proven ability to read and work from blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and production documentation.
  • Experience safely operating hand tools, power tools, pneumatic equipment, and other assembly tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, commitment to quality, and ability to follow detailed work instructions in English, while contributing to a team‑oriented manufacturing environment.
