Job summary

AMETEK Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to join our Level Measurement Solutions team in Connecticut. You will follow job specifications, assemble components, and inspect outcomes to meet quality standards.

You will use basic measuring tools and contribute to continuous improvement while working with the Team Lead and Supervisor to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0-3 years assembly experience.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic computer literacy with Windows.
• Basic math and measurement skills (ruler, calipers, tape measure).
• Prior manufacturing/ shipping experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard work and build assemblies per specifications.
• Operate and inspect value stream workstation output and tools.
• Test and calibrate simple assemblies according to specs.
• Identify issues in execution and seek help when needed.
• Contribute to waste reduction and workflow efficiency.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Assembler to join our team and play a key role in assembling our level and flow control products. In this position, you will follow job specifications, identify nonconforming conditions, and collaborate with the Team Lead and/or Supervisor to address any issues. You will also contribute to identifying and reducing waste in the workflow to improve overall efficiency.

The Assembler I will:

• Execute standard work with support from others on complex tasks.
• Operate and inspect Value Stream workstation output.
• Operate and inspect all tools and equipment necessary to execute standard work.
• Test and calibrate simple assemblies according to specifications.
• Execute standard work with an acceptable degree of quality and limited quality discrepancies, showing a trend of improvement.
• Execute standard work efficiently on simple tasks with support from others on complex tasks.
• Identify problems in execution of standard work and request help from others on resolution.
• Other duties as assigned.

A ssembler I Position Requirements

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50lbs.
• Some duties require walking, standing, bending, or climbing for extended periods.
• 0-3 years assembly experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Windows.
• Basic math skills and ability to use basic measurement equipment (ruler, scale, calipers, tape measure).
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with shipping and receiving operations is strongly preferred but not required.

Salary Range and Benefits:

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, AMETEK provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee assistance program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
