Job summary

Ameri-Kart Inc., a Myers Industries Company, is hiring for a Trim/Assembly associate. You will produce products to efficiency and quality standards, using hand and power tools, reading work instructions, and preparing materials for next steps.

Shift options include 1st shift Mon-Thu 6:00am-4:30pm ($20/hr) and 3rd shift Sun-Wed 7:30pm-6:00am ($20/hr plus $1 shift premium). Applicants should have 1-2 years manufacturing experience and be able to read a tape measure.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all necessary information and tools required for each job are in place before work begins.
  • Pull and review Work Instructions prior to starting a job.
  • Bundles product properly after trimming and move to required staging location.
  • Complete all assigned projects by the due date.
  • Review production priorities.
  • Must meet or exceed all training requirements including those related to quality standards and attend scheduled shift meetings or other meetings required.
  • Meets or exceeds production targets.
  • Produces trimmed products using various methods designated for the job. These methods include, but not limited to: Use of hand and power tools.
  • Inspects product for conformance to quality standards.

We are a full-service molder, focusing on recreational vehicles, marine, industrial, heavy truck and material handling markets. We manufacture a wide range of molded plastic products and complete product assembly to meet your specific design requirements.

Shift Schedule and Pay:

1 st shift: Monday thru Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm : $20.00 per hour

3 rd shift: Sunday thru Wednesday 7:30pm to 6:00am : $20.00 per hour + $1.00 shift premium

Job Overview:

Education and Experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred
Working Conditions
  • Ovens and rotating tools
  • Forklifts and other moving machinery
  • Loud work environment
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain stationary with intermediate walking throughout the shift. Frequently lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance and must be able to transport these up to 20 feet.
  • Frequently positions self to maneuver around the parts, materials, and molds. Must be able to operate the hand and tools and write legible.
