Job summary

Ameri-Kart Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to operate molding equipment in a high-volume production environment. You will ensure readiness of tools, review setup sheets, and stage products after molding to meet efficiency and quality standards.

The role requires 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, the ability to read and write in English, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Overtime and hot/humid conditions are typical in this manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Operate molding equipment to produce molded products meeting efficiency and quality standards.
  • Ensure tools and information are ready before starting a job.
  • Review setup sheets prior to starting a job and stage finished products correctly.
  • Maintain and monitor molding equipment for reliability and safety.
  • Meet or exceed production targets and training requirements including ISO standards.
  • Inspect products for conformance to quality standards.

We manufacture a wide range of molded plastic products and complete product assembly to meet your specific design requirements.

Shift Schedule and Pay

1st shift: Monday thru Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm : $20.00 per hour

3rd shift: Sunday thru Wednesday 7:30pm to 6:00am : $20.00 per hour + $1.00 shift premium

Job Overview

The responsibility of the Machine Operator is to operate molding equipment to produce various molded products to efficiency and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all necessary information and tools required for each job are in place before work begins.
  • Pull and review setup sheets prior to starting a job.
  • Maintain equipment required for molding machines.
  • Stage products properly after molding and move to required staging locations.
  • Complete all assigned projects by the due date.
  • Must meet or exceed all training requirements including those related to ISO standards and attend scheduled shift meetings or other meetings required.
  • Meet or exceed production targets.
  • Produce molded products using various methods designated for the job. These methods include, but are not limited to:
    • Use of oven controls.
    • Use of overhead crane.
    • Use of hand and power tools.
    • Use of pallet jack.
    • Use of open flame.
  • Inspect product for conformance to quality standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and write proficiently in English.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to operate and maintain industrial equipment.
Education and Experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred.
Working Conditions

Able to work in a hot humid environment for extended periods of time.

This job is in a typical manufacturing environment, to include, but not limited to:

  • Ovens, torches, and rotating tools.
  • Forklifts and other moving machinery.
  • Loud work environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain stationary with intermediate walking throughout the shift. Frequently lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance and must be able to transport these up to 20 feet.
  • Frequently positions self to maneuver around the parts, materials, and molds. Must be able to operate the hand and tools and write legibly.
