Job summary

UFP Auburndale is seeking a Production Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to quality and efficiency.

You will perform assembly operations, use hand and power tools, prepare work areas, inspect finished parts, and maintain production records while collaborating with coworkers to meet daily goals. Our environment rewards performance with production bonuses and yearly profit-sharing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Proven experience in assembly or related field preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
• Working knowledge of basic math

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Perform assembly operations in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Utilize hand and power tools to assemble parts and sub-assemblies.
• Stacks completed products and may label components on finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Inspect finished products for defects or irregularities and make adjustments to meet standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Participates in safety, CI and other training programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Production Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the assembly process, contributing to the production of our top-tier products.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Perform assembly operations in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Utilize hand and power tools to assemble parts and sub-assemblies.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Inspect finished products for defects or irregularities and make necessary adjustments to be compliant with standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other training programs and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
