Job summary

Exiss Sooner Trailer Manufacturing, LLC. is seeking a dedicated line assembler to perform assembly, installation, and finishing of trailer components. You will work with diverse materials, read routings and blueprints, and ensure parts meet tolerances in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include drilling, attaching components, caulking, decal application, tire installation, and maintaining 5S housekeeping on the production floor while adhering to safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Proficient in using basic hand tools.
• Able to read, write and understand instructions, procedures, drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Using air, power, and hand tools to drill holes in aluminum and steel or attach components per instructions.
• Position and assemble parts according to routings and blueprints.
• Measure parts to specified tolerances.
• Deburr, grind and buff parts.
• Inspect parts for cleanliness and flaws; report nonconforming material.
• Use chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks as required.
• Caulk trailers and attach decals or graphics on finished product.
• Install tires and maintain cleanliness per 5S guidelines.
• Keep supervisor informed of status, workload, problems, and progress.

Description

Reports To: Line/Department Supervisor

Job Summary

Perform line assembly operations involving the production and/or installation of trailer components, parts, and sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Using air, power, and hand tools to drill pre-established holes in aluminum and steel or attaching aluminum and steel components, parts, and sub-assemblies together per written or oral instructions.
• Positions and assembles parts according to special instructions, routings, and blueprints.
• Measures parts to specified tolerances.
• Deburrs, grinds and buffs parts.
• Inspects all parts for cleanliness and flaws. If flaws exist, complete a nonconforming material report.
• Uses chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks, as required.
• Caulking trailers
• Attaching decals or other graphics on finished product
• Installing tires
• Keeps assembly department clean and free of foreign objects, follow 5's housekeeping guidelines.
• Keeps production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
• Maintain a satisfactory high level of performance while following appropriate procedures and observing all pertinent safety rules and requirements.
• Additional Duties as Assigned

Skills and Experience

• Able to accurately read a tape measure.
• Operate basic hand tools.
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions, procedures, drawings and blueprints.

Potential Exposures

Regular exposure to manufacturing environment including noise, dust, and hot or cold temperatures.
