Job summary

Stoughton Trailers, LLC is seeking an Assembler I to join our Evansville, WI manufacturing team. You will work on a fast-paced trailer production line, performing hands-on assembly tasks and using a range of hand and power tools while following safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints, measuring layouts, and collaborating with teammates to maintain line flow and meet daily production goals. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly work across various stages of the trailer-building process.
• Operate hand and power tools including drills, rivet guns, impact wrenches and routers.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning components and applying solvents as required.
• Apply caulk to trailer seams to meet quality standards.
• Position, align, and fasten parts using bolts, screws, rivets and other fasteners.
• Assemble sub-assemblies such as brake hoses, wiring harnesses, axles and doors.
• Drill through aluminum, steel, and wood according to specs.
• Take measurement layouts from blueprints and drawings.
• Follow work instructions, process sheets, and company procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards consistently.
• Collaborate with team members to support line flow and production goals.
• Maintain dependable attendance and scheduled hours, including overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 5:30am-4:00pm OR Monday-Thursday from 4:30pm-3:00am
Shift: 1st & 2nd
Overtime: Required as business needs

What You’ll Do –

You will work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, supporting trailer production through hands‑on assembly tasks while following safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly work across various stages of the trailer‑building process
• Operate a wide range of hand and power tools, including drills, hammers, needle guns, caulk guns, rivet guns, impact wrenches, huck guns, routers, grinders, and tape measures
• Prepare metal and other surfaces by cleaning components and applying solvents as required
• Apply caulk to required trailer seams and joints to meet quality and sealing standards
• Position, align, and fasten parts using bolts, screws, rivets, and other fasteners
• Assemble sub‑assemblies such as brake hoses, light boxes, axles, air brake systems, nose boxes, wiring harnesses, doors, walls, wheels, and tire‑rim components
• Drill through aluminum, steel, and wood materials according to specifications
• Perform measurement layouts using blueprints and drawings
• Follow work instructions, process sheets, and company procedures consistently
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards on a consistent basis
• Work collaboratively with team members to support line flow and production goals
• Maintain dependable attendance and work scheduled hours, including mandatory overtime
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and operational needs
