Job Purpose

The Assembler Manufacturing - temp supports ROMTech’s production operations by assembling subassemblies and components used in medical devices within a team-based manufacturing environment. This role ensures products are built in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), contributing to safe, compliant, and efficient production processes that support ROMTech’s business objectives and patient care solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties
  • Assemble subassemblies and components in accordance with work instructions and engineering drawings
  • Read, interpret, and follow assembly instructions and documentation accurately
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to complete builds
  • Position and align parts manually or with hoists, fixtures, or other aids
  • Interface with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) to log assembly transactions and track work
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications and standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures, GMP requirements, and manufacturing protocols
  • Collaborate with inventory control, quality assurance, leads, and supervisors as needed
  • Stand for extended periods and safely handle materials during full production shifts
Other Functions
  • Participate in training sessions and apply learned skills on the production floor
  • Assist with inventory handling or movement of materials using appropriate equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support operational and business needs
Qualifications

Required:

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Prior exposure to GMP-regulated environments
  • Experience working with lifting equipment or assembly aids
Work Experience Requirements
Required:
  • Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
  • Experience working with manufacturing tools and machinery
  • Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols
Preferred:
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or regulated environments
  • ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred)
Education Requirements
Preferred:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
  • Moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to machinery, noise, and various manufacturing processes.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, bend, and lift.
  • Must be able to work a full shift standing if required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure safe and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Must be able to understand and relay verbal instructions in a fast-paced or noisy environment.
  • Must be able to give and receive clear verbal instructions in environments where hearing protection may be required.
