Job summary

UFP Site Built in Chicopee, MA is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble the finished product per customer specifications. You will secure parts, follow instructions, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires basic math and is entry-level, with a preference for up to 6 months of manufacturing experience. Hourly pay range is $19.00–$20.00, plus comprehensive benefits and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
