Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will set up the work area, align parts, and operate hand tools while maintaining safety and quality standards.

No extensive experience is required, though 6 months in manufacturing is preferred and a high school diploma or GED is acceptable. The role offers hourly pay with potential bonuses and opportunities for growth within a longstanding company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required; checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures; participates in safety and CI programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
