Job summary

Weiler in Knoxville, IA is seeking a hands-on Assembler for 1st shift to build and assemble heavy equipment components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will follow blueprints and specs, assemble subassemblies, and test completed products. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–2 years experience preferred. Certifications include Paint Specific Right-to-Know and forklift operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Paint Specific Right-to-Know Training.
• Weiler Forklift Operating Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Plans assembly procedures following specifications and manuals.
• Assembles subassemblies for attachment to the final product.
• Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to ensure close fit.
• Aligns components and bolts together according to torque specifications.
• Installs moving parts and tests free movement.
• Applies decals, logos, and safety warnings to the finished product.
• Attaches doors, panels and machine guarding; prepares for shipping.
• Tests operation of the completed product.
• Works safely, following all guidelines.
