Job Description

The Final Assembler will assemble and test valve assemblies and components, write test reports, check parts and completed work for conformity with specifications, and perform related duties as assigned.

Job Dimensions

Under general or limited supervision, depending on experience, perform assembly and testing tasks.

Reports to

Final Assembly Lead/Assembly Manager

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review work orders and inspect bill of materials, drawings, and parts for instructions.
  • Evaluate special instructions from engineering drawings.
  • Interface with quality control inspectors.
  • Order parts from stock and write requisitions and reject slips.
  • Test valves and components using power tools and large saws.
  • Follow engineering and sales order instructions.
  • Bend tubing as specified.
  • Read dimensions, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain punctuality and adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
Qualifications Guidelines

Experience, training, or education in assembly, valve components, blueprints, safety procedures, and forklift operation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Assembly, inspection, and testing skills.
  • Proficiency with power tools and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Problem-solving and communication skills.
