Job summary

Motion Laboratories Inc. is seeking an assembler to build components and finished products using drawings and a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

The role involves wiring, soldering, crimping, mounting, cutting, and finishing tasks performed to exacting standards in a manufacturing setting. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and quality-focused, with the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

Description

Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy working with your hands? Whether you have previous assembly experience, enjoy working on vehicles or equipment, or simply possess strong technical aptitude, Motion Laboratories may have an opportunity for you.

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for building and assembling components and finished products using assembly drawings, work instructions, hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Duties may include wiring, fastening, mounting, soldering, crimping, cutting, gluing, sanding, painting, and other assembly-related tasks. Assemblers work closely with coworkers and department leadership to satisfy production requirements while maintaining quality workmanship, efficiency, and safety.

Successful candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, quality-focused, and enjoy working as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. Training is provided. However, candidates with previous manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or electrical experience, as well as those possessing skills such as soldering, reading schematics, interpreting assembly drawings, or utilizing pneumatic and power tools, may qualify for compensation toward the upper end of the posted range.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years of age
2. High School Diploma or GED
3. Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools
4. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English
5. Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
6. Ability to safely lift and carry materials as required by the position
7. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
8. Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and accountability in previous employment, education, military service, or other commitments
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining ownership of assigned tasks

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or electrical experience
2. Experience soldering electrical conductors ranging from 26 AWG to 10 AWG
3. Ability to read assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, or schematics
4. Experience with crimping, wiring, panel assembly, or similar technical assembly work
5. Experience using pneumatic tools and production equipment
6. Prior experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing power distribution and motor control systems in the entertainment, theatrical, touring, staging, or live event industries
7. Experience working with single-phase and three-phase electric hoists, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair
8. Familiarity with entertainment industry electrical systems, motor controls, rigging controls, or portable power distribution equipment
