Job summary

Dover Corporation in Rosenberg, TX seeks an Electrical Assembler to read electrical and mechanical schematics, assemble junction boxes, panels, and related components, and wire electrical units. The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed documentation.

The position operates Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. Prior manufacturing and electronic assembly experience are preferred to ensure quality electrical products.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read, use, and understand electrical/ mechanical schematic drawings.
• Produce high-quality electrical products.
• Assemble junction boxes and panels, and perform diversified electrical assemblies.
• Assemble electrical components, terminals, and push buttons in a predetermined order.
• Cut, strip, and mount wires to connect electrical units.
• Close job orders daily for the assigned value stream.

Education

Experience

• Two years of minimum manufacturing experience
• Ability to perform basic math, including the use of calculators
• 1 year of electronic assembly

Skills & Abilities

• Experience with using a computer and or ability to learn basic usage of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook
• Experience wiring electrical panels, instrumentation, and devices / point-to-point testing.
• Ability to work from detailed schematics, wire lists, bill of materials, engineering drawings, and documentation.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00-3:30 pm or 3:30-12:00 am. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Lifting and Carrying

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 lbs. (sometimes more, depending on the job)
• The task repeats 6 -7 times per 8-hour shift

Standing and Walking

• Ability to stand for extended periods (8 -12 hours)
• Frequent walking throughout the floor to clean, allocate, receive, pack /unpack materials and parts

Bending, Stooping, and Reaching

• Regularly need to bend, twist, kneel, or squat
• Frequently reaching above the shoulders or below the waist

Manual Dexterity and Hand-Eye Coordination

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands, such as assembling small parts, packing, or sorting
• Use of small hand tools, requiring fine motor skills

Vision and Hearing

• Visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses) to read labels, gauges, blueprints, or assembly instructions

Work Environment

• Tolerance for light noise, dust, light, and light soldering smoke
