Job summary

Eaton is hiring an Assembler for the 1st shift at the Arden, NC location. The role involves winding, assembling, and wiring control equipment to produce complete sub-assemblies and final assemblies.

You will read drawings, select parts, prepare wires, and run diagnostics to ensure performance meets quality standards. Responsibilities include safety, record-keeping, and using power tools; physical movement and ladder use are required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical background required.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Avery Creek, NC (active duty military exempt).
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire control equipment from drawings and specs.
• Determine parts, prepare requisitions and stock materials.
• Prepare wires by cutting, stripping and attaching terminals.
• Assemble sub-assemblies and final assemblies, route and modify as needed.
• Lift up to 35 lbs; occasional ladder work and movement.
• Check electrical/mechanical performance and adjust as required.
• Operate power tools and maintain clean work area.
