Job summary

Boeing Future of Flight in North Charleston, SC is seeking an Assembler C for Functional Testing on a 1-year contract. You will perform complex production assembly on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems using manual or automated tools.

This role requires shift flexibility (1st/2nd/3rd), strong testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, documentation of data to show compliance, and collaboration to improve team performance while adhering to Safety

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
  • 7+ years in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.
  • 7+ years in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.
  • 7+ years using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.
  • 7+ years following detailed work instructions reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
  • 1+ years of experience following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories.
  • Performs functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components and troubleshooting.
  • Assesses and documents test data to show compliance.
  • Identifies roadblocks and production constraints and escalates unresolved issues.
  • Supports teammates with cross training and mentoring while maintaining safety standards.

Assembler C - Functional Testing (Contract)

Contract (1 year)

Functional Testing

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

  • -Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd).
  • -Performs functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components as well as perform aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair.
  • -Assesses and documents test or analysis data to show compliance.
  • -Identifies roadblocks and production constraints escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication.
  • -Supports teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross training and mentoring.
  • -Adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
Requirements/Years of experience/Etc.
  • • - 7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
  • • -7+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.

Physical demands (if any)
  • • -Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd).
  • • -Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).

8-10 Weeks of Training

Please note - These positions are variable shifts, contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.

Boeing South Carolina Site Requisition – Airport and North Campus SOW Business need.

Building location dependent on business need.

Successful completion and clearance of all screening requirements is a contingency for this assignment.

Dress Code Boeing South Carolina – Teamwear – Provided at the teamwear store.

Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

Pay Rate Range

Min Pay Rate $25

Max Pay Rate $30
