Reporting to: Production Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Has a very good understanding of our company’s products, assembly operations and procedures. Needs little assistance to work through unfamiliar situations.
- Works from blueprints, routed shop orders, set up documentation, verbal and written work instructions.
- Able to use ordinary arithmetic such as decimals and fractions, micrometers, calipers and fixed gages.
- Plans and performs required set-up of equipment to assemble and pull test products, identifying non-conforming conditions.
- Assembles and pull tests according to work instructions in an efficient manner, inspecting product to verify it meets customer specifications: seeking limited assistance as required from the supervisor.
- Has a very good understanding of product function and quality expectations, demonstrating the ability to identify non-conformances while assembling and pull testing hoist ring products of increasing complexity.
- Assembler Advanced can train others effectively on sub-assembly and final assembly operations.
- As needed, handles incoming and out-going product.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts of work in process, components, and sub-assemblies by properly and accurately entering all conforming and non-conforming parts produced during assembly.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and internal customers; in performing assigned tasks. Seeks limited assistance as necessary to resolve more complex issues in an effective manner.
- Keeps the supervisor aware in a timely manner of any issues needing the supervisor’s involvement.
- Maintains timely and accurate records, certifications and reports, as required.
- Uses computer skills to navigate effectively through machine programs and processes.
- Maintains good housekeeping and safety habits.
Requirements
- High school education is required.
- Has the ability to be proficient after training.
- Has relatable experience where they demonstrated the skills and ability to be an effective assembly employee with the company
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills to be able to interact effectively with others to meet customer needs
- Ability to perform basic math calculations such as decimal/fraction conversions and reading measuring tools.
- Must have manual dexterity to handle small objects as well as large objects and the ability to maintain mental concentration while performing repetitive work.
- Must have the ability to maintain mental concentration while performing repetitive work.
- Demonstrate good computer skills and is proficient with all related company systems and programs.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities to meet the requirements of the position.
