Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembler to support e-fulfillment warehouse projects by building mechanical components and subassemblies to precise specifications. You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints, and follow detailed instructions to help ensure equipment functions correctly in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

You will identify and resolve assembly issues, perform basic maintenance on tools, and maintain a safe, organized workspace while contributing to on-time production targets.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a production or assembly setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, and parts lists.
  • Experience using tape measures and other measuring devices to verify dimensions.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and clean, organized work areas.

Responsibilities

  • Study assembly instructions and blueprints to understand work requirements and plan builds.
  • Gather and organize parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies to ensure proper alignment and fit.
  • Assemble components, fasten parts securely, verify connections meet quality standards.
  • Measure completed components to confirm tolerances.
  • Identify and resolve assembly problems and escalate when needed.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and report issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and monitor inventory levels.
  • Record work performed and outcomes on required forms and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to support overall project goals.
