Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembler to support e-fulfillment warehouse projects by building mechanical components and subassemblies to precise specifications. You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints, and follow detailed instructions to help ensure equipment functions correctly in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

You will identify and resolve assembly issues, perform basic maintenance on tools, and maintain a safe, organized workspace while contributing to on-time production targets.

As an Assembler, you support complex e-fulfillment warehouse implementation projects by building mechanical components and subassemblies to precise specifications. You use hand and power tools, follow detailed blueprints and assembly instructions, and help ensure that equipment and systems are installed and functioning correctly. In this role, you contribute directly to efficient, high-quality production in a modern warehouse and industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to understand work requirements and plan each build accurately.
• Gather and organize parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials needed to complete assigned assembly tasks.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading and interpreting measurements to ensure proper alignment and fit.
• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies, fastening parts securely and verifying that connections meet quality and safety standards.
• Measure completed components to verify that all assemblies meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify and resolve assembly problems by adjusting dimensions or assembly methods to meet specifications, and escalate issues when additional resources are needed.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment by following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and requesting repairs when necessary.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area by following established procedures, rules, and regulations at all times.
• Monitor supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating material needs, and assisting with ordering and verifying receipt of supplies.
• Use equipment and materials efficiently to conserve resources while achieving production and quality targets.
• Accurately complete production and quality forms and other required documentation to record work performed and outcomes.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to overall team results by assisting with related tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a production or assembly environment.
• Ability to perform mechanical assembly work, including positioning, fastening, and verifying fit of components.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, assembly instructions, and parts lists.
• Ability to use tape measures and other measuring devices to take accurate measurements and verify specifications.
• Understanding of basic manufacturing and production processes related to assembly line work.
• Capability to troubleshoot straightforward assembly and equipment issues and take corrective action within defined procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following established rules and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, industrial setting and collaborate with a diverse team of tradespeople and project personnel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
