Job summary

Pro Resources Staffing Services in Lafayette, IN is seeking motivated assemblers for a 3rd shift role from 10:30pm to 7:00am. You will assemble and align parts to manufacture steering columns, operate air and hand tools, and inspect components for quality. Overtime including weekends may be required.

Candidate must be able to lift 35 pounds, pass a pre-employment drug screen, and be willing to cross-train in multiple departments while working well in a team.

Qualifications

• Lift/pull/push 35 lbs for 8 hours while standing, bending, and twisting.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to cross-train in multiple departments.
• Must work well with others.
• Overtime schedule may include Saturdays and Sundays.

Job Description

As an assembler you will be responsible for assembling and aligning parts to manufacture steering columns. Will be operating various air tools, hand tools and machines. Packaging and band containers as needed. Visually check parts for damage or contamination. Assemble parts by instructions pertaining to a particular part number. Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift/pull/push 35 pounds while standing/bending/twisting for a minimum of 8 hours.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to be cross trained in multiple departments.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Must be willing to adhere to the overtime schedule that might include Saturday's and Sunday's.
